The Drive Medical Balanced Aire Non-Powered Self-Adjusting Mattress Replacement System delivers advanced pressure management designed to prevent, treat, and heal pressure ulcers in homecare and long-term care settings. Featuring self-adjusting air and foam cells, this reactive system automatically recognizes body weight and interface pressure to optimize patient comfort and tissue protection. Its 2.5-inch hybrid Visco foam top layer enhances immersion and heat dissipation, while high-density foam side perimeters offer robust edge support for safe patient transfers.
Built with an integrated heel slope, the mattress actively redistributes pressure away from vulnerable lower extremities. The system includes a removable 4-way stretch polyurethane cover that is fluid-resistant, low-shear, vapor-permeable, antimicrobial, antifungal, and latex-free. Furthermore, this self-adjusting system can be operated in open-cell or closed-cell configurations and easily converts to a dynamic powered system by adding an alternating pressure pump (14005E or BA9600-PUMP). Arriving patient-ready, this durable 500 lb capacity mattress fully complies with CFR 1632 and CFR 1633 flammability standards.
