Q1: How do I know what size to get?

Please don't guess based on your T-shirt size. A Medium shirt does not mean you need a Medium knee brace. The Fix: Grab a flexible measuring tape. Measure the circumference of the specific body part (knee cap, ankle bone, waist). Check the specific size chart for that product. If you are between sizes, we usually recommend sizing up for comfort, unless you need really tight compression.

Q2: Can I sleep in my brace?

It depends.

Soft Sleeves: Usually yes. They are great for keeping swelling down overnight.
Rigid Braces (Metal/Hard Plastic): Usually no. Unless your doctor explicitly told you to wear it 24/7 to immobilize a break, take it off to let your skin breathe and blood flow freely.

Q3: What’s the difference between a Sleeve and a Brace?

Sleeves are stretchy, knit fabrics. They are like a tight hug for your joint—good for warmth, mild swelling, and arthritis.
Rigid Braces have hardware (hinges, plastic shells). They are “guard rails” designed to physically stop your joint from moving the wrong way. Essential for ligament tears or breaks.

Q4: Does insurance cover this?

MediDepot doesn't bill insurance directly. However, these are medical-grade products. We provide detailed invoices that you can submit to your private insurance, HSA, or FSA for reimbursement. Check with your provider about your “Durable Medical Equipment (DME)” coverage.

Q5: How do I wash this?

Hand wash. Cold water. Mild soap. Never put your brace in the dryer or use hot water. Heat destroys the elastic and warps the plastic, ruining the fit. Let it air dry flat.
