Convertible, One-Sided or Three-Sided?
Convertible units like the Bailey 805-807 and Clinton 4-5080 give you steps on one side and a ramp on the other. One-sided stairs such as the Clinton 4-5501 sit against a wall. The Bailey 808 is approachable from three sides, useful in a corner.
Standard Width or Wider?
The 30 in units, including the Bailey 809, suit most gyms. Go to 36 in, like the Bailey 810, when you want room to guard. The Bailey 4535 is 48 in wide and rated to 1,000 lb.
Can I adjust step height to match a patient's home?
Yes, with the Clinton adjustable models: the 4-6501 one-sided and the 4-6500 small staircase. Fixed-height units are simpler if your caseload is mostly standard steps.
