The Drive Medical Balanced Aire BA9600-P-84 is a versatile reactive mattress replacement system designed to prevent, treat, and heal pressure ulcers in homecare and long-term care settings. Featuring self-adjusting air/foam cells combined with a compressor control unit, this system delivers dynamic alternating pressure therapy alongside effective shear and friction reduction. A 2.5-inch hybrid visco foam top layer provides immersion, comfort, and heat dissipation, while high-density foam side perimeters ensure firm edge support during safe patient transfers.
The specialized heel slope redistributes pressure away from vulnerable lower extremities to support clinical skin integrity. Arriving patient-ready for immediate setup and transport, the mattress is encased in a removable, fluid-resistant 4-way stretch polyurethane cover that is vapor permeable and low shear. Furthermore, the entire unit is antimicrobial, antifungal, latex-free, and compliant with 16 CFR 1632 and 16 CFR 1633 flammability safety standards.
