These are ordinary-performance nitrile gloves with one difference: an additive in the compound lets landfill bacteria break the glove down instead of leaving it intact for decades. Nothing about handling them changes, and no separate disposal stream is needed.

At 4 mil they sit in the everyday working range, thick enough for food prep, cleaning, salon and general handling without feeling stiff. Textured fingertips hold grip when hands are wet or oily. The black colour hides grease, dye and ink, which is why this shade is the usual pick for tattoo artists, mechanics and colourists.

They are powder-free and contain no natural rubber latex, so they can be worn by people with a latex allergy. Eco Gloves states the material is also free of parabens, phthalates, phosphates, chlorine, BPA and Proposition 65 listed ingredients.
