The mattress uses a "cell-on-cell" design with 10-inch deep air cells for balanced pressure distribution, helping prevent the patient from "bottoming out" against the bed base. When used with a compatible pump, it provides alternating pressure and low air loss for pressure redistribution and microclimate management.
