IBI’s IB56040 HR-2025 Gel Casting System includes the HR-2025 UV Transmittant Casting Tray (IB56020) and the HR-2025 Gel Casting Fixture (IB56030.) This casting system fits together via a compressible gasket design in order to mold a 20cm (wide) x 25cm (long) agarose gel for use in the HR-2025 High Resolution Horizontal Electrophoresis System (IB56000.) The HR-2025 Gel Casting System (IB56040) is designed for pouring agarose gels outside of the HR-2025 gel rig. This allows for continual use of the electrophoresis system with no downtime for gel preparations and reuse of buffers. The UVT casting tray and casting fixture tightly fit together so as no casting tape is necessary when pouring gels. Once an agarose gel is molded, the casting system is separated and the casting tray is placed into the gel system’s buffer tank to run the desired gel. The HR-2025 Gel Casting System (IB56040) is composed of the casting tray and the casting fixture which are both constructed of durable cast acrylic to provide years of reliable service without cracking or warping. A variety of HR-2025 combs are compatible with the casting system. It supports up to four combs simultaneously. Each HR-2025 High Resolution Horizontal Electrophoresis System (IB56000) comes with the components of a casting system: one HR-2025 UV Transmittant Casting Tray (IB56020) and one HR-2025 Casting Fixture (IB56030.) Additional casting systems can be purchased to maximize usage of the gel rig. Additional accessories and replacement parts are available. Made in the USA.
