The gel's high osmolarity draws fluid from the wound bed to aid and support autolytic debridement, while its low pH (3.5–4.5) helps maintain an optimal wound healing environment. Its viscous formulation offers increased stability at the wound site compared to paste, clinging to the wound bed for easier application under a secondary dressing.

Indications

Under the supervision of a healthcare professional, MEDIHONEY Gel is indicated for diabetic foot ulcers, leg ulcers (venous stasis, arterial, and mixed etiology), partial- and full-thickness pressure ulcers, 1st and 2nd degree partial-thickness burns, donor sites, and traumatic and surgical wounds.
