The Zinger is a lightweight folding power chair built around a patented two-lever traction control system. Instead of a joystick, both hands rest on control levers that drive, steer and brake the chair, giving it a 24 inch zero-turn radius. That turning circle lets it move through doorways, hallways and crowded rooms, and pull up to tables and desks.

At 38 lbs without the battery and 42 lbs with it installed, the Zinger folds with a single pull of the release cable and rolls like a suitcase. It fits in the trunk of most sedans, hatchbacks and SUVs, and its 240 watt-hour lithium-ion battery is within the 300 watt-hour limit airlines allow for mobility device batteries. The swing-away foot plate retracts automatically when the chair folds, so there are no separate footrests to remove. Rear anti-tip wheels add stability on slopes and over bumps, and the breathable honeycomb mesh seat keeps heat from building up on longer rides.

Journey states that the Zinger is a personal electric vehicle, not a medical device or a wheelchair, and that it is not intended for medical purposes or to provide mobility to persons restricted to a sitting position. Full use of both hands and arms is required to operate the control levers safely.
