The So Lite is built around one idea: a power scooter light enough that the person travelling with it can handle it alone. At 40.8 lbs with the battery out and 44.5 lbs with it in, it folds by a two-touch mechanism without tools, then tilts onto its rear wheels and rolls behind you like a suitcase rather than needing to be lifted.

The chassis pairs four-wheel stability with a narrow front track, so it turns in 45 inches and works in shop aisles, airports and restaurants. Electronic Stability Control slows the scooter automatically as it enters a turn. The 24V 10Ah lithium battery lifts out and charges off the scooter, which matters at an airport: it is within FAA limits and travels in the cabin while the folded scooter is checked. A straight tiller carries the throttle lever, a speed dial, a horn and a battery gauge, and the scooter comes with a metal under-seat basket and a front LED light.

Journey states that the So Lite Scooter is FDA registered and cleared and FAA compliant for air travel. Journey rates it for pavement, smooth trails and indoor flooring, and states it is not intended for rugged or off-road terrain.
