The Journey SoftSecure Uplift Commode is a bathroom chair with a spring-controlled seat that assists the user in standing and sitting. The spring works from the user's own motion, so there is nothing to plug in, charge or replace, and the assist still works during a power cut. It serves as a freestanding bedside commode, as an over-toilet support frame, or as a shower chair.

The rust-proof aluminum frame supports up to 300 lbs and weighs 16 lbs. Closed-cell blue foam padding on the seat and backrest is slip-resistant and does not absorb water, so it wipes clean. Push-button legs adjust the height without tools to suit different users and toilet heights, non-slip rubber grips steady all four feet, and the armrests are built to bear weight during a transfer. The plastic commode bucket with splash guard slides out along guide rails under the seat for cleaning.
