The Lumex Comfort 500 Foam Mattress (C500 series) is a specialized pressure redistribution mattress developed for patient comfort and pressure injury management in higher-risk individuals, including those with pressure ulcers or high-risk heels. The tri-laminate construction features a high-density supportive base, secondary comfort layer, and modified convoluted top layer that enhances immersion, increases airflow, and cools the sleep surface. A soft heel-zone reduces pressure on vulnerable areas, while the firm side perimeter (with optional 3" raised bolsters in RB models) provides solid edge support and facilitates safe patient transfers. The stretch polyurethane soft top cover is vapor permeable (0% vapor transmission), low-shear to minimize friction-related skin damage, fluid resistant, antimicrobial, bacteria/fungal resistant, non-allergenic, anti-static, and flame retardant.
