CryoTherm Palm is a cordless palm cooling device built for use during the rest periods an athlete already takes. You hold it between sets, at halftime, during a timeout or at a water break, and it draws heat out through the palms, where the body sheds thermal load fastest.

Therabody's Cryothermal technology holds a set temperature for the whole treatment, so the surface does not warm up partway through the way a frozen pack does. There is no ice, no water and no setup. The device has two cooling surfaces, one for each palm, and reaches its working temperature in under a minute.

Cooling is not the only mode. The same device delivers localized heat therapy, and in contrast mode one side runs cold while the other runs hot, which covers post-session recovery as well as in-session cooling.

An LCD display shows the temperature status and runs a stopwatch so treatment time is tracked rather than guessed. Setting memory recalls the last configuration, so a repeat session starts with one button. The body has an anti-roll shape for the sideline, a travel lock and a travel pouch, and charges over USB-C.

According to Therabody, CryoTherm Palm is the only palm cooling device validated through two controlled studies before launch: one with Division I athletes at the University of Southern California and one with elite soccer players at IMG Academy.^*
