The Thermophore 056 is a weighted electric moist heating pad that draws humidity from the surrounding air, so it delivers moist heat therapy without soaking, wetting, or adding water to the pad. The medium 14" x 14" format is sized for a single treatment area — one shoulder, a knee, a hip, or part of the abdomen — and reaches an operating range of 150–165°F, well above a standard consumer dry heating pad.

The Easy-Comfort hand-held switch is a press-and-hold control: the pad heats only while the button is depressed and begins to cool the moment it is released. This gives the user direct control over heat intensity and acts as a passive safety feature if the user falls asleep. A 25-minute auto shutoff provides a second layer of protection during continuous use.
