The VWR Plus Series Freestanding Undercounter Laboratory Refrigerator (HCUCFS0204G) provides reliable, lab-quality cold storage within a space-saving design. Designed with an ADA-compliant profile, this 2.5 cubic foot (71 L) refrigerator fits comfortably under standard counters while delivering excellent thermal performance. The glass swing door allows you to quickly check your inventory without opening the door and letting cold air escape.

The unit runs on environmentally friendly, HFC-free natural hydrocarbon refrigerant (R600a) and high-density urethane foam insulation for great energy efficiency. A precise microprocessor temperature controller regulates the system to maintain a stable operating range of 1°C to 10°C, which is shown on an external digital display. To ensure maximum accuracy, the refrigerator uses a dual temperature probe system, with one probe monitoring air temperature and the other resting inside a dedicated sample bottle. A built-in forced draft circulation system maintains even temperatures throughout the cabinet and ensures fast temperature recovery after the door is opened.

Storage layout is highly organized with four adjustable shelves (two large, two small) featuring a guard rail on the back to prevent items from blocking the evaporator cover. For security, the door comes with a physical keyed lock and a magnetic gasket for a tight seal. This freestanding unit is designed with specific ventilation needs and must have 4 inches of clearance on all sides and the back to operate safely.
