The Massage Step is a walking pad with two usable sides. One side is a normal cushioned walking belt; flip it over, take off your shoes, and the raised bumps on the underside give the soles of the feet a shiatsu-style massage while the belt moves. Each side has its own display, so the stats are readable either way up.

The deck sets to a 5 percent manual incline, which adds work to a desk walk without raising the speed, and the 2 HP motor runs up to 4 mph. Speed, workout goals and session control are handled from the remote, which has shortcuts for quick pace changes. SoftStep cushioning softens each step, the frame is slim enough to slide under a sofa or desk, and built-in wheels move it over wood or carpet.
