The interior liners of these hoods, constructed from Type 1 unplasticized polyvinyl chloride (uPVC), are designed to withstand reactions caused by strong acids. These fume hoods are equipped with Lexan polycarbonate sashes recommended for applications involving acids such as hydrofluoric acid (though excluding perchloric acid); the Lexan material does not fog or degrade when exposed to hydrofluoric acid vapors.
